Planned Parenthood North Central States

Mission: Planned Parenthood of the Heartland has served women and men of all ages since the mid-1930s. Today the agency offers a full range of quality reproductive health care services to residents in Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska and eastern Oklahoma.

Needs: By volunteering you’ll become a voice of progress for reproductive health. You don’t need any special skills to volunteer, just a desire to help. Volunteer roles include everything from escorting patients to data entry to helping with education programs. Every department at Planned Parenthood is happy to accept help from volunteers. You can work with the clinics, communications, finance and many other departments. Our interns and fellows work with Planned Parenthood North Central States’ staff, patients, supporters, volunteers, and community activists to advance sexual and reproductive health care, education, programming and advocacy. They may also support initiatives focused on reproductive rights and freedom, gender equity, community health, and cross-movement work.

When is service needed: year-round, new opportunities are often posted to coincide with school semesters and/or summer breaks.
