Mission: The Parks and Recreation Department provides a variety of leisure activities aimed at every age level. Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department coordinates the rental of a number of shelter houses, as well as, indoor facilities suited for any occasion.

Location: Grinnell (various locations)

Needs: Different maintenance projects in city parks, tree planting/maintenance, recreation program and youth sports volunteers, and other service projects.

When is service needed: April-October busier time of the year with most needs, but we have some opportunities year round.

Number of hours:  Flexible, as much or little as is possible for the volunteer

Equipment/logistics needed: Own transportation to city parks and facilities is needed.
