Mission: The Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation is a unique and innovative family foundation striving to help meet the needs of the Greater Grinnell community through ongoing support services and resources by maintaining and perpetuating an endowment. Our purpose is to provide improved and enhanced quality of life for present and future generations with interest in the areas of parks & recreation, education, and health with our collaborative partners.

Volunteers:
- One-time events: Yes
- Ongoing: Yes
- Groups possible? Groups are welcome, especially for Imagine Grinnell tree planting, and for Giving Gardens
When is service needed: Activities throughout the year, especially during the school year. Currently, spring and fall are busiest with Imagine Grinnell Tree planting.
Number of hours: Flexible, as much or little as is possible for the volunteer
Modality: in-person only
Equipment/logistics needed: Dressing for the activity (planting), garden gloves and boots if desired.
Training supplied: Training would be for some of the specific activities- garden work; compost help; etc.
